Bistro Lights and String Lights
One of the most popular trends is the addition of bistro lighting, since it adds that shabby chic feel so many clients want to create at their reception. We have many different styles of lighting to choose from, and all packages include two lighting specialists to install and break down. From backyard parties to barns, hotel courtyards to galleries, adding bistro lighting to your package is guaranteed to wow all of your guests! Features include:
- Incandescent light bulbs (we prefer the look over LED bistro light bulbs)
- A bistro light bulb every foot for G40 size
- A light bulb every two and a half feet for edison size
- Dimmer packs to control brightness of the lighting
- Pipe/bases sandbagged and draped for venues that do not have rigging points for the bistro or string lighting
Gobo Lights, Logo Lighting, and Wash Lighting
Fill empty space on the wall, jazz up your dance floor, make your bar a centerpiece with a wash, showcase your logo, or project your monogram...it's all possible with our high end Source Four lighting and Optoma projectors. Dan was so, so helpful with our wedding lighting in the midst of a pandemic. We had to change reception venues one month out, and didn't finalize the new lighting (tent or no tent? bistro or not?) until the week of. Dan rolled with the punches and made sure to keep checking in. When he wasn't wholly satisfied with the original lighting he strung up, even though it looked great to us!, he redid it completely. As a result, our reception was stunning, well-lit without being too dim or too bright at night, which allowed our wedding photos to come out perfectly. I don't know if other lighting vendors would have been so accommodating with our last-minute changes!

DJ Dan was highly recommended for lighting at Eastern Market. While we originally had hoped to string some basic string lights ourselves, we realized the logistics were just too complicated. We hired Dan Goldman Events for our wedding (lighting and DJ) and we were blown away by how amazing they were. DJ Brennan was excellent from start to finish. Before the wedding, he did a really nice job communicating what he needed from us and he helped us flesh out what we were looking for in the ceremony and reception. He was incredibly responsive with communications. Because he knew the venue so well, he was able to point out and solve a few issues before they became headaches. Once the wedding came around, Brennan perfectly MC’d the night - he transitioned well between events, kept us on schedule, yet avoided making it feel to “production-y”. The dance portion of the night is where Brennan truly shined. The dance floor was packed the entire night. He seamlessly weaved in our favorite songs and always found the best next song to play. Weeks later, we’re still getting texts from our friends about how amazing he did. Highly recommend!
